    1) Save all of your machine data to disk.
    a) Tool data.
    b) Machine programs.
    c) Work offsets.
    d) Common variables.
    e) Parameters.
    2) Go back to “Machine parameters”
    3) Find “fix_P”
    4) Set it to a “1”
    5) Go to “Data I/O”
    6) Go to “Erase”
    7) In “Data( )” type “FORMAT”
    8) Go to “Input”
    9) In “#( )” type “4”
    10) Press <input> key.
    11) Power the NC off and then back on.
    12) Reload all of the saved data.

please check the drive communication cable.
note: the problem due to drive is not communicating with NC . may be one drive is not getting on. i think the error is not related with NC. this depends on drive malfunction or faulty please .

Re: How to initial parameter error meldas 300 series

Check your manuals.... The parameters are almost always part of the documentation set the machine integrator provides. Alternatively, the parameters are written into EEPROM (95% sure), so you rarely actually have to re-enter them. HOWEVER, the RAM will lose its memory if you lose power. You will need to reformat that, but this process won't change the parameters. You *will* lose any macros that are in memory, though. That can include tool change macros, if the machine builder used macros as a means of controlling tool change (sometimes they integrate with the PLC, and that is usually in EPROM).

I would highly recommend that you SAVE your parameters, even if you think that they are lost, BEFORE you do anything else. You may very well realize that the data is still in the machine any that you lost it when you tried installing someone else's parameters. That would be highly unfortunate. There is zero downside to saving the parameters before you screw around with the machine. Just my 2 cents.

Re: How to initial parameter error meldas 300 series

Yes, i have the parameters in my manual. The problem is that i don't have Parameter Nr.12 - select bits. There are the machine options in binary code. It is just empty space for this values in the parameter book. Without this i just can't become the ready on the machine.
