Reliance Electric DC Servo motor Model E660
    NEMA 34 Frame
    Back EMF Constant, ke = 65 V/kRPM
    Torque Constant, kt = 5.5 lb-In/Amp
    Nominal Speed Rating: 1750 RPM
    Nominal Voltage Rating: 120 Volts

    Encoder;
    HEDS-5605 A06 500 cpr

    -05 winding option,
11.42 Ohms winding resistance, and an 8.1 A Max peak
    current. 5.5 In/Lb / amp x 8.1 A = 44 In-Lb or 717 In-Oz.

Thank you. what I see is that the encoder appears to be from Avago Technologies, on my motor, manufactured by Renco.

You should be able to get the encoder info from the Renco site.

Can this really be correct? 11ohm winding resistance on a size34 motor sounds like A LOT. You'll drop 92.5V across the winding when pushing 8.1A thru it, with a 120V supply there won't be much left to actually turn the motor.

Any data on the continous current rating?

I'm not saying the data is incorrect it just doesn't "feel" right....

I have 5 winding variations listed in my ancient Electro-Craft book. They range from 0.44 Ohms to 11.42 Ohms. These motors (at least when made by Electro-Craft) had a dash number following the main part #. So, it would be something like E-660-01

    Code:
    Winding # -01 -02 -03 -04 -05
    Kt 13.2 27.6 44.2 66.1 88.5 Oz-In/Amp
    Kv 9.76 20.4 32.7 49 65.5 V/1000 RPM
    R 0.44 1.28 3.00 7.1 11.42 Ohms
    Imax 54.2 26 15.8 10.7 8.1 Amps
Imax is peak current, not max continuous current.

    Thanks Jon,
It's probably correct then. Don't know if I would like to use it though.....

I know Imax is peak and not continous, that's why asked if there was any data listed for continous current ;-)

I have the information for the 0660-07-074, I am not sure how close the specs will be to yours.

Thank you for your interest. the problem was in the encorder. A new one is ordered. The specification does not work on my motor
