    geometry import

shouldn't I be able to copy entities from an open autocad drawing and paste them into the workspace in edgecam?

seems like I used to be able to do that, now I can't

I dont think so.... You would have to open it as a DXF DWG, or do a File - Insert - Component , to insert it into your existing file.

drag and drop a saved solidworks file to an open edgecam maybe, but not the way you described.

the only thing i think you can do that with that is similair is copy features like stock/fixtures from one edgecam to the other but you had to do it a certain way for it to work.

remember going over something like that in a class at some point.
