    rigid tapping on mini-mill

Does anybody know how you tell if the rigid tapping option is available on a mini-mill? If it is not available is that an option that can be turned on (I'm assuming it's already in the software).

    Parameter #57 > Rigid Tap..value of "1" in on.."0" is off...

Yes, it can be turned on with a codefrom Haas, after it purchased..
(Note: The opinions expressed in this post are my own and are not necessarily those of CNCzone and its management)

If it's got a 0 in parameter 57, it's off and you need a code to turn it on. If it says 0T, you have a 200 hour trial (if that trial has been partially used, you have some amount of time less than 200 hours)...if it says 1, you have rigid tapping.

When you have rigid tapping turned on you can also do repeat rigid tapping but this has to be turned on also. It is a setting on some machines and a parameter on others (I think).
An open mind is a virtue...so long as all the common sense has not leaked out.
