There are Solidworks plans for a 426 hemi scale engine on
http://member.newsguy.com/~mphenry/4...i_drawings.htm
May be worth downloading a set as they are only there for a short time.
I have plans for a 1/6 scale V8, a beginners engine on my site. Casting for this engine are made in the USA, and I'm looking for hobby foundry type operations in other countries to produce castings locally.
This is a good "beginner" project.

googling motor boys and following the au link will be of interest.
This is not really a commercial but you should know I am the Editor of Model Engine Builder magazine.
You can get a number of plans from magazines like Strictly IC, Model Engineer, Home Shop Machinist and now, Model Engine Builder magazine.
Speaking of The Motor Boys International, they, in the person of Ron Chernich had the Mills 1.3 in the first issue of our magazine and he is helping on the Morton M5 plans and build instructions which will be in Issue 2 this month. He also just finished the M1 for the September issue. Beyond that, an Upshur 1-cylinder boat engine and a larger hit'n miss will round out the year.
The Motor Boys International have a book of plans that are for sale from the AMA folks (Model Aviation).
Beyond that, if you look through the relevant magazines, you will find plans on everything from Offenhouser 4s to V-8s and older farm engine models.
Just be certain you start out with something relatively simple unless you are already a machinist because model engines can be real bears to make run. Something about you can scale the design but you cannot scale electricity and fluids.
Grue, Any ideas where i can still get the solidworks 426 Hemi plans, I would sure loveto see them , anyone ?
