Re: Hitachi Seiki Service and Support!!!!!!!!1

hello everyone i have a VA40 mill i believe 1983 model, it has the fanuc 6 control, was running awesome till yesterday, alarms came up. all the oil is topped up but will not clear. one of the LED on the board on the power side cabinet is let up i was told it was a spindle cooling alarm. i had this problem before and it was the fan on the top of the spindle and gotten stuck. i repaired it and we have been running ever since. however this time i checked the fan on top and it's free. i disconnected it and the alarm will still not clear. when you hit the black reset on the board below the light it comes right back on when you let off, i believe something else is shorted but any advice on where to look would be appreciated..

I have 5 Hitachi Seikis and I love them, but I can understand some of the pains all of you are going through. Im in Houston, so I obviously try and use local techs, but when Im in a bind for parts or technical support, I use Metal Medixs. Henri Van Hende knows Hitachis better than anyone I have ever talked to. Just an FYI for those who have issues with service.

I am look for support for a Hitachi Seiki HC 400. If experienced with this machine , I can pay for support.
    The machine has a Fanuc 15 M controller .
Recently it has developed an intermittent problem. It starts up normally, all normal lights lite, no alarms ,, but no axis move in handle or any other mode.
Therefore I can not Auto Zero the machine. It just sits there looking like it should be running and not.
I am sure someone has dealt with this other than me.
