That machine should have the Micon 16 front end, to reset the tool pot you need to go into the system table and do it there. Press F1 > F4 and that will take you into the AB-Phase table. Change your pot numbers there and reboot the machine. That should take care of it.

    Pallet Changer Alarm! VM50

    Good morning Josh/Hitachi Man,

I have a vm50 with Seikos Alpha10M Control (equiped with dual pallet changer). I'm missing a Programing Manual and Instruction Manual for Optional Functions. Machine seems to be running okay except for swapping pallet. I keep having these alarms when commanding M60.

    [2AC7] Transfer Ready Indication Incomplete
[2AD1] Pallet Position Pin in Abnormal

I'm not sure if we had the pallet changer hooked up right because the "APC Ready" Push Button/Light never came on during the whole time and I don't know how to "Origin APC". There's a green LED flashing all the time in APC controller box (bellow/behind the pallet changer).

We're able to MDI the APC door open, Unclamp table (which raised the table up) but unable to dock the table to its place.

I'd like to buy above mentioned Manuals (either printed copies or PDF files) from you and need your help walking us thru solving this problem. I'll have my friend Shane (he helps setting up the machine) give you a call today. We are in Oregon.

    Thank you

    Chi Dang

What alarms are you getting? Probably something that can be fixed very easily. That tool magazine, carrier fingers, and twin arm are pretty basic in both design and in/out signals. Alot of what I see happen is either the tool page or the a/b phase is out of sync. But if you can tell me what alarms you have I will have a better idea of what needs to be done.
