    Question Oliver Lathe

Machinist Needed to mill interior thread for lathe accessory.
Spindle diameter is 1 7/8 inch. Thread is 6 to the inch. This is for an Oliver 20 B Lathe. The accessory is already threaded on one end for a ‘Nova” chuck. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated! I have tried many places and no one seems able to do this. Oldcherry

ok dude are you talking about cutting an internal thread for the insert of the nova chuck .............because if thats what you need then a small engineering shop could do that very easily ......but the threads are a bit awkward so a new step down insert will need to be made (the spindle thread is larger than the thread in the nova chuck right?) and i don't think that should cause many problems other than it will take some time to cut and lots of money. just take in a face plate and the chuck and they will do the rest

hope that helped but you question seemed a bit hazy
