We own several Okuma Mu400VA 5 axis machines. We have reasonable temperature control in our shop in the form of radiant heat in the winter and AC in the summer no doors left open durring any season.no direct sunlight on machines ..target temp is 68F.We find the okuma machines are unreal repeatable from the first part to the last and everyone in between.It looks like Mazak has recently copied the Okuma thermal comp system they are calling it Mazak Intelligent Thermal Shield (ITS).Does anyone have experiance with this new system from Mazak and if so do you find it effective in not having to do the warm up offset dance? This dance simply does not exist on our Okumas even when we are holding crazy tight tolerances.The amount of time it saves us is enormous....
