    5'x10' cnc wood working machine

My buddy and I would like to build a cnc machine that is capable of handling a 5'x10' x 0.75" material. We would like a metal frame unit. What plans would be best for us to follow. I will need some help picking out steppers etc for it also.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks
    Haku

Have a look at the mechmate, the plans are free, and there is plenty of support on the mechmate forums.

    Best Regards,

If you are unable to find a good set of plans, theres always the option to design it yourself. Thats what I did, took a good look around the forums here for a few weeks and looked into all the different designs and then I just drew up some plans that incorporated the best parts of all of them. Just keep it sturdy! Good luck!

I'm not much help here with new ideas, as has been stated you would be hard pressed to beat the Mechmate.

Quick... catch all the smoke so I can stuff it back in.
