    Angry New uk member

    Hello everyone,

I am a new member today, I am a lifelong machinist of some 41 years, 20 years using cnc machine tools, hence the grey hair and nervous twitch! Currently running a Mori 11m and all was well until I bought a new laptop, with no com port and then all communication ceased. If I was'nt losing money -it would be funny, can anyone help?
    Mike.

USB to Serial adaptor? Smoothstepper? Many options available...

Laptops aren't generally ideal for CNC on account of their habit of going byebyes in the middle of things if not setup right...
If you're in Europe why not come and visit the UK CNC Community at http://www.mycncuk.com
