Hi all,

I have this stepper:

* 260 Oz In. Hybrid
* 1.8° /200 Steps Per Rev.
* Rated 12-24 Volts*
* 2.5 Amps Current Per Phase
* 4-wire Bi-polar
* NEMA 23 Frame
* Factory Enameled Red Body
* Now with dual shafts!

I have calculated steps per unit:

200x8=1600. 1600x1,25 (my threaded rod pitch is 1,25mm per rev).= 2000 steps per unit (what unit I got ? i think: i need 2000 steps to move 1,25 mm). is the calculation right ? Or should I use 1/4 step ? maybe that's better ?
What velocity should I use ?
What acceleration should I use ?
What step pulse, dir pulse should I use ?
Many, many, MANY thanks for answers.

heeelp :drowning:

I have solved my problems by myself:

I made mistake in calculation, here is good one (I hope so):

200x8=1600 (steps per rev) then-> 1:1,25=0,8mm (threaded rod per torn to move 1 unit). Then -> 1600 x 0,8 = 1280 steps per unit.

velocity:

1600 x 500 (rpm) = 800000 steps per minute
800000 : 60 = 13333 Hz
13333 x 1000 = 13,3 KHz
13333 : 1280 = 10,41
10,41 x 60 = ~624

so maximum velocity is 624

I have set 400 on my machine.

am I right ?

thanx.
