    HAAS RS-232 D-Sub Connector

So I'm looking in the Haas manual, for the RS-232 wiring. It gives me the location og ground PIN-1, but the diagram lists wires as pin 2-red, pin 3-black, pin 7-green, and points to the connector as pins 25, 13, 14. Why dont the pins match wire colors?

Well then, instead of that question...the manual says connect to serial port 1 to send/receive. I take it the top port is port 1? I cant find it in the manual.

Sometimes things are difficult to find in the Haas manuals because they are not there. They seem to have slimmed the manual down over the years but you can find a more complete and up to date pdf file on their website. Go to this link and scroll down:

EDIT: I also found this in their Answerman section:

An open mind is a virtue...so long as all the common sense has not leaked out.
