Cool Getting CNC lathe tailstock to move

    Good morning,
I am looking for the code to get my tailstock to move. I have a Takisawa EX-108. According to the book, the forward movement would be M28 and rearward would be M29. Quill movement would be M10 & M11.
I have entered the M28 in my program but nothing happens. Am I missing a step? I also get an error M,S,T, etc has not been completed when I go to next block. I am running my program single block to check program.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Ardis

Please don't take this wrong, but are sure your tailstock is "powered"? Does it have motors connected to it? I just know my machine can have a powered tailstock but doesn't and maybe someone misinformed you. Otherwise I'd just try a machine reset.
