    Home switch position

I'm now thinking about adding home and limit switches to my machine. I want X/Y home, to be at table centre 0,0. Z=top of travel.

When cutting a toolpath the machine would continually trigger the home switches at 0,0. Is this trigger ignored unless you've told the machine to goto home position.

    Thanks.

    Regards Terry.....

Home switches are typically only active while the machine is commanded to the home position. During actual cutting, they should have no effect. Some controllers allow you to configure switches as both home and limit switches. This would not work for your application. Many people home their machines at the center, and then have limit switches at the ends.
