Do you still have these boards (YAPSC:10V),, If so I need them.

Re: YAPSC:10V : The glue between Step/dir and +/-10V servo amp

Got some boards from Andy and need help.

My setup is PC <> YAPSC:10V <> PAC SCI SC-903 <> PAC SCI R33 motor.

    - YAPSC fw: 2.0.7, tuning tool YT 1.3.4.

    - About SP-903 configuration don't know nothing (no interface card), tried step/dir control, no response, then tried analog cmd and motor started to spin, after that found YAPSC.

    - Wired everything, first test and got some problems, motor oscillates cw - ccw see videos (sorry for poor quality, old phone)

    video1
    video2

    - after several seconds YAPSC goes to maxerror, and drive goes to fault Nr.4 (Attachment 253240).

    - P set to -0,22 (tried from -0,001 to -1 same result [- because with + i get maxerror fault at startup]), I and D 0.

    - encoder gives good feedback, tried to rotate shaft with disconected motor power and YTT reads about 8200 steps/rev.

    - also find out that driver SC-903 response just when YAPSC output is higher than +5V.

Would be great to hear any suggestions, since i'm new to servo systems, but not new to automation ant process control.

    Hi Lucas

Are you still selling your boards?
I have CNC VMC with Simodrive 611 and Sinumerik 820M. Would like to change Sinumerik to another Chinese cnc controller (GSK or Adtech) but would like to keep Simodrive drives with motors.(x,y,z, toolchanger, spindle - all of them use simodrive).
What do you think, are these boards stable to use on production machine?

    Best regards,
    Oskars

    Hi lucas

I am using pulse to analog - one of my friend prepared for me. It works fine but only problem is reverse direction. I need convertor which change direction of signals as per mach direction output

    Please guide me for this

If anyone interested for UHU servo controller with analog (+/-10Volt ) output visit Custom Machine Design

I have designed UHU servo controler witch can control analog ( velocity, torque ) linear servo amplifiers.

Also , avaible only boards to assemble. 4 PCB avaible. Price 8.50 eur .

    If interested, PM .

    Hello!
    I have board YAPSC 10V.
How can I use the index of the encoder for Homing? (Linuxcnc)
    Is it possible ?
    What are the options?

    Hi nkp
Do you have homing with INDEX? You make something?
    Just asking, it's very interesting.

Does anybody have any of these boards available to purchase or is this project no longer going? Cheers

I have 10 PCB's, and lack the time to build. I need some one to build x3 of them for me to test, and you can have the rest.
    Private message me if interested.

    Hello Lucas

Your PM settings won't allow me contact you directly. Just wondering if you ever got any further with your YAPSC - type converter.

This design is compatible with Max's PCB (connector pinout) but has some changes and improvements, well I consider these as improvements :-)

    - a real RS422 receiver is used for the encoder: 26LS32, capable of differential and single ended encoders and with proper line termination for high speed.
    - works on a single supply: 8 to 24Vdc, + and - 12V are generated by a DC-DC converter.
    - encoder can be connected with a DB9 or screw terminals.
    - stp/dir/enable inputs have optocouplers and can be connected using a PMinmo style flatcable or screw terminals
    - The progkey is compatible, this or Max's version can be used on both designs

    I have 9 PCB"s left now for some beta-testers.

One thing might change: the drive error input and Yapsc error output, this is very basic now and might need improvement to support more models of analog drives.

Please send me a PM if you"re interested.

Lucas has not been involved with the YAPSC for some years due to time constraints.

He walked away from the project at around the time I was looking at them that's why I looked into getting the boards printed myself.

    Thanks Andy.

Looks like the YAPSC project is dead then - what a shame.

I think I've got 3 or 4 YAPSC boards sitting around somewhere, just populated with the uController. If anyone would like them, let me know.
