    Pocket island depth

I'm trying to make a pocket with multiple depths in it. I've figured out that if I select islands and choose "use island depths' in the depth cuts dialog, I can get it to cut over islands.

    So far so good.

What I've found now, though, is that those cuts will at whatever the nearest depth cut step was. So, if I have an island 0.15 in below the surface and I'm cutting in 0.1 in steps, it will only cut down 0.1 in, and leave behind that extra 0.05 in.

Is there any way to make it automatically go back and machine that last little bit?

    Paul,
I'm not sure which version you are using. but this will work as far back as V8 I think. On pocket parameters page select island face, there will be a button at the bottom you can adjust the stock left on top of the island. You should draw the island in the pocket at the z depth it will be cut at , this will work best for you.
