Offset Chain Milling vs Path Milling

What are the differneces between the two in TurboCAD/CAM. When I create my drawing & do my cam fucntions, the preview does not seem to show my offset. I may be doing something wrong.

    ynnek,

I'm no expert but the Chain-Offset milling feature will offset the cutter from the drawn path by the amount set in Stepover Amount dialogue. This can be changed in the Setup option or the View Operation Properties window. When you select the object, it should show an arrow with a circle the size of the chosen tool. Make sure it is on the correct side of the line that you want to offset from!

I'm pretty sure that Path milling will not offset and simply follows the drawing path.

    Best Regards.

    Carl
