Is this the best place for posts?

Might I suggest that CNC Brain posts be made on the CNC Brain forum at http://www.safeguardrobotics.com/default.aspx?tab=forum

There are now a few members posting details of real machines and their experiences.

There doesn't seem to be much point in posting in both paces.

While there is a more focussed group over there, the larger audience on this site has the potential to get help quicker, especially if the issues aren't all just brain related but also generic CNC and electronic issues.

The waiting for a post to be approved on the other board also puts a damper on real-time help.

That's strange, I'm not aware of having to wait for a post to be approved on the safeguard robotics Forum. I've been posting regularly for about 6 months without any delays.

That's a fair comment if posts are about more general issues though. But for CNC Brain specific, I don't normally look at the CNC Zone. The problem is that there are so few people with machines that it seems counter productive to split what little information there is between two forums.

I understand that there is supposed to be a Wiki coming on the Safeguard Robotics site. Trawling through forum posts or searching is a haphazard way to research specific the information needed to build a successful machine. A knowledge base we can all contribute to an fine tune sounds like the best way forward. Let's hope we don't have to wait too long.

I've never struck it before this week. But the "startup niggles" thread was cross-posted there by me a day after the original one here. It came up with "will be approved before it is visible" and it's still not.

I'll take that up with Bruce, it doesn't seem right.

    Here's Bruce's response...

"Hmm. Will get this forwarded to someone to take a look. That isn't supposed to be anywhere on the forum. We want it open!"

I'm told that your postings should now go straight onto the Safeguard Robotics Forum without delay.
