    gecko 540 with mach3

    using kelling 387 motors with mach 3 and gecko
    any help would be apreciated 1:13 lead screw

    currently runiing 26000 steps 20 velocity 2 acceleration
    iam not sure if thease are correct velocity acceleration step

    If you mean a 13tpi lead screw directly driven from the stepper motor,
    then you are correct. 26,000 steps per inch with the G540 which is a ten micro step drive. Velocity is what ever you are comfortable with up to the point that the stepper will stall, at which point you back off 10% to be safe. I would say that your acceleration is a little low, but it depends on what you are trying to drive and what results that you are looking for. You will really need to do some trial and error on your machine to make sure it does what you want.

    re velocity

    whats a good starting point for velocity will be cutiing mdf
    also what should the other values in motor tuning be set
    thanks

    Velocity setting has nothing to do with what you are cutting. THAT is controlled by F feed rate. Are you using the G540B xml file downloaded from Gecko?

    is that locked be cad software

    Feed rate is set either directly in G code, or in CAM software.
