    calculation

    I want to build my own "cnc engraving machine "and I need to select proper steppers but I dont know how I should calculate the required torque(wich is needed for rotating ball screws and overcoming against weight of some parts and also forces during engraving) and use it for select of proper steppers .

    atleast the weight of your gantry must be known.

    The approximate weight could be considered about 100 kg.
