Hi,
I recently got my hands on two famous Keling DC motors: KL34-180-90 and KL23-127-60 (perhaps is this typo in motor label? maybe it's really a KL23-130-60).
Both are verified to work beautifully with VSD-E and both can deliver their full continuous & peak power in parallel DC mode.
Here are sample GDtool configuration files to start with. I tested the motors without mounting them on machine so PIV gains need to be re-tuned after motor is on actual machine. Also current limits may need to be adjusted if there is not enough or there is too much torque.
If motor shows no stability, check "Invert encoder direction" checbox.
These are mighty motors, so be careful (may be good idea to reduce default current limits for start)! It was scary to see KL34 jumping on desktop.
If VSDEPI is being used as breakout, then load VSDEPI config file to drive after tuning is finished (see Getting started & VSDEPI manuals).
BR,
Tero
