How to create an Autozero tool for Z Axis using metal plate and wire

I would like to ask for your help on how to create an autozero tool for my Z axis so it will automatically move above the material and set to 0 position. Also how to connect the wires to the pins of the printer port? Im a newbie and have no knowledge in electronics but I am very interested to learn more about the CNC to build my own
