Fanuc 0i - How to trouble Shoot

Today a problem was solved by the MTB based on information supplied.
My question is how could I have problem solved this:

Tool magazine had not completed its travel (5mm to go) and activated a PROGRAM STOP light displayed on the MOP.

My research and input from others established a program stop results from a M00, M01 (even an M02? or M30?).

How could I have interrogated the Fanuc diagnostics, or maybe the ladder logic to understand a limit had not been achieved?

    Regards

    Joe

I think the MTB should predict such a situation and provide some kind of alarm message, if for example some actuator is set (magazine back valve in your case), and in say 5 or 10 seconds the appropriate limit switch (magazine back) is still missing. It is let say "programming style", depend on machine some ladders have near 50% spent for such a checks, some...
