Fadal 4020 Not Aligning Cold Start

The machine has run fine for the last month we have had it (bought used). We set the cold start and home in the same position for ease of use.

Today the machine seems to want to find CS anywhere from .250 to .110 above the line. Any attempts to reset CS do not work, and I do not believe I have an easily adjustable resolver as the book shows. If I do turn the black top it will drop at least and inch at a time and throw me an error 18 or 23.

Maybe the resolver itself is bad.

    Any thoughts??
