    Programming help! please!?

My first post so I apologize if I am not going through the right channels but here is my question.

How can I program a circle in the x-y(on a mill) and while its creating the arc, have it also arc in the z axis. I dont want a linear z move but I would like to have it create an arc as well.

    anybody?

Simply add Z-.zzz to the end of your G2/G3 block. The ".zzz" is the distance you want the Z axis to travel while interpolating the G2/G3 block.

    IJK method

Are you using i, j and k? If you are; k is the incremental distance from the start of the arc to the center of the arc in the Z direction. If you are not using ijk - you might consider it! It will allow you to arc in the Z at a different radius than you are arcing in the X and Y. Im not sure how it works when using R...?
