You could try running in a wine environment, but not sure how well the directx will translate.

You could also run a VM windows environment..
Just when you thought you had it all figured out, all hell breaks loose..

IMO I really think this could be an area where SurfCAM can separate itself from the pack. Everyone has TrueMill now (see MasterCAM whats new web page), and they are a little late with multi-axis implementation.

Run on Mac. Now hold on a second before all of you Mac haters start flaming. Check it out...

There is no real viable CAM system for a Mac. The actual CAD systems for a Mac are not exactly robust. If SurfCAM was to run on a Mac OS, you would get a surface modeler AND a decent CAM package.

The Mac market share continues to grow (see http://arstechnica.com/apple/news/20...rket-share.ars ) so it is a ripe market for software implementation.

Does Surfware abandon the PC market and concentrate their limited programming bandwidth on Mac development? I think it would be a shrewd business move. It seems to me that they are not exactly growth based in the PC market anymore. Switching gears at this point is a "nothing left to lose" proposition.

    Just one guys opinion.
