    Omniturn OT Secondary Offsets

I have an older Omniturn OT on a Hardinge HSL speed lathe. I am trying to learn how to use the secondary offsets and I’m not having much luck. For a test I set up a simple 2 tool program and tested it. When I add D1 to the tool call out line it moves Z+ right past the stops. The table is empty so theoretically it should not change until I enter something into the table.

    (001 OFFSET TEST)
    G90G94F300G73
    T4D1(DRILL)
    G00X0Z1.5
    G95
    G97S3000M03
    Z.1

I’m not much of a programmer but can normally work my way through these little hang ups but this time I’m stumped.

    Thanks,

    Bob J

    False alarm

Figured it out. The manual shows the D word at the tool call out but it actually goes in the move after.

    Thanks anyway.
