Squaring x an y axis in Mach 3

I am wondering if any one has had success with squaring their machines using the "Function CFG's"- "Formula Axis Correction" dialog box.
I understand a few commands, however i have inputted the following,
    f(x)= 0.001y
this creates an error, i wish to have the x axis move approx 1mm for every 1000mm in the y axis.

    Any ideas welcome

    Try this.
    f(x) = x+y*.001

I don't think it will correct while jogging, though. Only when running g-code, or using MDI.

    Thanks Gerry,

    It worked a charm!!!.
This function will come very useful when i build my next machine which will be about 2000(X)x4000(Y)x200(Z). i currently am using my first machine that is 1350x2550x330 which is funding the next one.

I have searched Mach 3 documentation with no success for the past week, i drop a posting here and get an answer in a day.

    Totally awesome. Many thanks
