    Mach3 Minimum Requirements:

    Windows 2000/XP Operating System
    1Ghz CPU
    512MB RAM
Non-integrated Video Card with 32MB RAM
Basic Computer Skills (ability to copy/rename files, browse directories, etc)
Desktop PC if using the Mach3 Driver (Laptops are not supported because the power saving features of the chipsets disrupt the pulse stream)

    mach will run on vista
I've run pc's as low as 550mhz with no problems , a dumpster computer would work ok as long as your not running things at any great speeds

Yeah, the specs on the website are old. Should say Win2K, XP or Vista. Mach3 will even run in Windows 7 beta. 1Ghz is minimum recommended for 25Khz kernel speed. Higher kernel speeds should have 2Ghz or better. Integrated video tends to work OK on most PC's built in the last 2-3 years. Older than that and you may or may not have problems.

I've seen lots of posts from people over the years that saw much better smoothness and consistency when upgrading to a 1.6Ghz or faster from a 1Ghz or less PC.

A new computer with integrated video on the motherboard shouldn’t be a problem. Simply add a video card to one of the open expansion slots and depending upon the card and of course how much you are willing to spend for it memory will not be a problem. You will still be limited by the system bus speed however.
