Need help with pinout for VDU on heidenhain tnc145 controller

    To all who can help,

I just purchased a machine with a Heidenhain TNC145 control. The monitor does not function.

Does anybody know the pinout for this monitor?
Are there repair documents for this monitor?

    Kind regards
    Jim

I am not familiar with Heidenhain controller, but most OEM operations bought complete monitors as a subassembly. If you examine the monitor carefully, it will probably have a manufacturer and model number on it. You will probably have better luck getting docs on the monitor that way.

Is it a monochrome or color monitor? Does it have either a 9 pin D connector or a high density 15 pin D connector like PC video systems? About what year (decade?) was it made?

    Hi,

I know this is an old thread, but I was looking for this information myself and like to share it here.
It's fot the TNC135 but should be the same:

    23,24: +12V
    21,22: Gnd
    18,19: Video
    16,17: Grey/Intensity
    4,5: V-sync
    2,3: H-Sync
    6,7: Signal Gnd

I have no idea why the signal lines are 2-wire. Could be either signal/shield or differential. That's something to find out.
