Hi i drip feed to my TNC2500 using remo all the time.
to drip feed just go into the program run mode rather than the program editing mode and then press the external mode button press enter a couple of times and the program starts to read in.
press the cycle start button and start maching.
i us ezcam to creat my programs and it writed them to a file with the name and a txt extention and numbers every program a prg100
Before transfering them using remo i have to rename the program to 100.H.

Hi I want to drip feed a large program with tnc2500 that is over 9999 blocks , does any one know if you have to remove the block numbers as I think the tnc2500 can only cope with 9999 line numbers ?

Hi no you dont need to remove the line numbers, i regularly drip feed large programs well in excess of 9999 line to my tnc2500 controller using tnc remo and have never had a problem doing so.

    Hi Mark,

Maybe you can help me, i have two problems.

    1. While drip feeding the machine seems to stop (jerk) when executing line numbers. this makes machining time excessively long as there is not a constant movement from the machine.

    2. The machine stops when it reaches 65525 lines.

    Any info will be appreciated,

    Machine: Bridgeport interact 1 MK2
    Controller: TNC 2500

    Regards,
    Johnathan

    Hi Johnathan,

    1. Think you should be able to improve the jerking with "smoothing" turned on not sure if this is M90 or a parameter though. This means the machine doesn't have to got to exact position before starting to move to next position hence giving a smoother move.

    2. Is the pc sending all the program or waiting ie the pc is in time with machine ? I had this type of problem because the pc was not handshaking with control so sending all program to buffer then machine would stop due to data over flow.

Hope this is of some use.
