Hi there,
As it says on the Info page linking to the public 2D and 3D downloads....
"Most of this content is available to non-sponsors via this page until the next update. "
So it's there for 30 days or so... after which it's replaced by the updated content.. It pays to visit regularly...
All of the content remains online to those who have sponsored the site directly or by one-off purchase of the ebook.... It would not be online at all were it not for their contributions...
Hope this helps
Danny

Danny Great thread thank you and your site is wonderful as well!!
I have meet James Booth the owner of vectorart3d and can say he is outstanding! He has great 3d models as well and does great custom work.
Hey pike88 I have a Vortech as well how is yours doing??
Nick
All these files are great, but what I would like to know, is what is the best wood to use and what size bit do you get the best results from? Seems like some of my efforts are good, and some not so good.

Thanks for kind words....
Hi there,
thanks for kind words also... in respect of your questions I would think toolsize will make more difference than the type of timber..
I've cut .STLs from MDF, Chipboard, plywood, pine, birch and oak. They all give usable results. The harder woods take detail a bit better but tend to require a slower feedrate than softwood or composites.
In respect of toolsize...see info on the page for each .STL. If you cut the model at the stated dimensions, the tools listed in the table will cut at the level of detail shown in the images. I test this in commercial and FREE software before deciding on suggested tooling. Scaling the models is possible. To keep detail you will also have to adjust toolsize in accordance with the applied scaling
Hope this helps
