    Swiss turning?

Hello everyone, Im going to be buying my first lathe soon and I wanted to see what everyone thought. I was looking into work that is available and I notice a major percentage is small diameter work that would be perfect for a swiss machine. Do you think getting a swiss machine would be smarter than getting a bigger lathe?

Swiss-type lathes are an excellent choice ONLY if you have part runs of 100 or more, and smaller then 1-1/4" diameter (though there are a few expensive 36-42mm machines out there.)
