DIY Mister for DIY CNC Router?

Hey all, about half the work I do with my CNC is routering aluminum sheet (.080"). I would like to use some form of coolant so bits last longer and I get a better cut. Sure I can use WD40, but its a PIA to stand there while the sheets are cut.

Anyone have a simple easy solution for a mister?
    thanks

I've been thinking about this one. In drug stores they sell water picks that have good veritable power settings for around 20 bucks. It would take some modding but I'm sure one could be rigged to hold enough cutting fluid to fit our needs.

I'm not at the point where I would need a mister so I haven't really looked into it yet. It's just something hanging around the back of mind for later.

Smile wanna cut staianless sheet without the PIA wd40?

just use DRY a 1.5 mm carbide 2 flutes end mill
NEVER try to erode the sheet because it will bend and make the end mill go to hell
    just plunge and DRAG CUT

    Feed : 80 mm/mn
    spindle : 6000 rpm

and a 1 mm stainless sheet will cut like BUTTER (aluminum too of course)

    have fun

Over in the mill section one used a Chemical mister that you get at walmart to spray bug killer and weed killer. Holds 3 gallons and doesnt require power or compressor. Just need to pump it up a couple of times and adjust spray settings.

I've toyed with the idea. When cutting aluminum .063 sheet with a wood router (20K) I use denatured alcohol in a squirt bottle, it keeps the aluminum from melting and adhearing to the cutter and evaporates so there is no residue. Constant monitoring is a pain, so I'll watch this thread and see if any cheap solutions come from this group of out of the box thinkers.........

I cut 6061 on my Shizouka and use a straight air jet- works fine. Just tie the nozzle next to the cutter.
I used to be appalled, now I'm just amused.
