    Cool Tach kit

    Hi all,
Does anyone know about an inexpensive electronic kit (or maybe another way) for a tach that I can install on my mini-lathe and micro-mill. Something using a hall-effect, prox switch or optical, whatever. I just want a digital readout of rpm.

    Thanks in advance

Take a look at http://cnc4pc.com I bought 2 of their kits and they look real good. I had them running in both turbocnc and mach2

Not a kit. Ready to go with all the parts. I use this one myself. With a second wheel and sensor it is easy to move to another machine.

oh, I see, all your looking for is a readout? nothing for cnc I assume? The one at cnc4pc is for readout on a cnc.

Camtronics has an optical tach kit that uses reflective strips. Go here to see what's available, or email Dan Mauch at [email protected]. I believe he is also a member of cnczone. We are talking under $50.00. Good luck.
