Hello,
Does anyone have a schematic for the DC motor speed control board that is shipped with the Sieg C2A300 mini lathe ...I'd rather repair the broken board I have vs buying a new board!
tks,
Hank.
The following site will repair the board for half the cost of a new board.
http://www.repaircontrol.com/
http://www.repaircontrol.com/SCRControl.htm shows a basic diagram, but I have not yet found a circuit diagram.
http://www.mini-lathe.com/Mini_lathe...ot/trshoot.htm says the Mosfets are the likely culprit. Simply replacing both of them may fix the problem.
If you ever do find the circuit diagrams, let me know.
Many thanks...just to give some closure here - that board was completely toast ...the Ebay seller was very shrewd - he didn't say it was completely nuked & only photographed it from the top - which looked fine. However when I saw the bottom, it had obviously been subjected to a major amount of voltage/current - all the silicon was short - many of them melted - some PCB tracks gone & the board swollen around many tracks. I picked up a Danfoss DC motor control board for £20 - which isn't meant for the Sieg but was cheap enough to spend an hour or so adapting!
