    Unhappy Hitachi Seicos VK45

    I'm an IT guy for a Metalfab shop. They just picked up a Hitachi Seicos VK45. We would like the RS232 port to work with a PC. Another company had a Gcoder device which did communicate with the machine, so we know it's working, but we can't get the PC to communicate and can't find the hyperterminal settings needed. We hooked up a pc with USB to DB9 connector which went to a DB9 to DB25 adapter. Then we went to hyperterminal but I'm sure the hyperterminal settings were off. Does anyone know where we are going wrong or what settings are needed?
