UUGH! My Hurco MB-1 control monitor went out. Found a converter for it's monochrome output to convert to VGA and it works. Amazon's got em : GBS-8219/GBS-8239 XVGA Box CGA EGA RGB RGB RGBHV to VGA Industrial Converter Monitor Replacement Video Intelligent Converter for FHKD (GBS-8219). @$162.00 . A little difficult to figure out at first. Just input 2 wire monitor signal to the G/Y BNC connector, plug in an old 15 pin VGA monitor to the converter. Access the menu and choose, STYLE: RGB (A), SYNC: COMPOSITE (S), Scanning: PROGRESSIVE and you can adjust the other parameters to suit your installation. Probably work with other obsolete monitor outputs as well and avoid ridiculous replacement monitor costs. Tried cheapy eBay (TV RCA Composite S-Video AV In To PC VGA LCD Out Converter Adapter Box US) and it worked however the picture rolled continuously.

so i tried this converter on my kmb1m... I get the image but it not stable. unusable
