    Daewoo Puma 10 spindle won't turn on

    Hey guys, I am totally new to machining so please be gentle!

    I just picked up a daewoo puma 10 and everything seems to be working good. BUT.... the spindle won't function with M03 command. The spindle will turn manually but once I try to run a program it gets stuck on any block with M03 command in it.

    Please help.

    Are you able to CYCLE START in MDI?

    Is the chuck clamped?

    If so, try this:

    G97 S400 M03

    First you home the machine make sure both x and Z is at home position.
    Make both screen 0.00 if don't know press x and hit orgin and press z and hit orgin now do same with U and W.
    make sure that your chuck is clamped not open, and there is one swich under your screen, which is used for two operations holding parts from inside and holding parts from outside make sure it is on holding part from out side and when you press the peddle your chuck should close,
    Now try this programme
    G50 S1000;
    G96 OR G97 S500 T101 M42 M3; (M42 IS FOR MIDDLE GEAR OR HIGH GEAR)
    G50 x10. Z10.;
    GO X5.00 Z.1;
    G90 X4.9 Z-2.00 F.01;
    GO X7.00 Z.1;
    G28 X7.00 Z.1
    M30
    IT SHOULD COME AND MAKE 4.9 DIA 2.00 LONG AND GO BACK HOME AGAIN
    IF NOT PLEASE CALL ME i HAVE SAME TYPE OF MACHINE I MESS AROUND WITH IT FOR LONG TIME NOW I AM GETTING USE TO IT ITS A VERY STRONG MACHINE.

    still no luck.. Hopefully I will be able to get ahold of the previous owner to find out if there was any pre-existing issues with this machine.

    Got it working... got in touch with the previous owner and got the operators manual... It was a problem with the operator not the machine
