2 drivers for 1 motor possible?

    Hi,
I was just wondering if two drivers can be used to run one motor. Would you be able to double the current rating and voltage rating, or would this be not possible?
    Thanks.

It won't work with a chopper drive. They would intefere with each other. Also, doubling up drives won't increase their voltage ratings.

What about if they were driven from the same parallel port pin?
    Thanks.

The parallel port pin only tells the controller to move. The controller does the coil drive timing & current limitation, so it won't make a difference.

I see, it was worth a question anyway. I figured if it was possible, you could get way better ratings with a smaller chip if you double them up.
    Thanks.
