    look ahead

    in regards to look ahead function is there any reason why you wouldn't want to have it on ??

    I can think of 1 instance. On some controls they can look many lines ahead but if there is a problem with your cutter comp and the control alarms out with a "CRC" alarm it is hard to tell where the error is. Because the machine will stop and you will not be sitting on the bad line. If you have this turned off the control will error on the suspect line and the error is easier to find and fix.

    Hi cnc spook

    There is no reason not to, we have it on all the time & have never had a problem
    in some controls you need to call it in your program (Gcode) to turn it on but some you don't
