    Arrow 500 spindle module

Does this require separate programming? I'm looking at a machine the owner says the spindle drive needs to be programmed. A2100 controls.

    Hi JWC,

Normally the spindal drive that is located in the back of the machine in the cabnet is set up parmeters for each machine and not changed! If the spindle drive has lost its parmeters you need to find out what they were and enter them this could be concidered programming but not in the normal sence. It is more concidered as a CNC Machine Tech fuction not a programmer.

Be sure that you get the correct information on the issue sometimes it can be hard to find the exact parmeters based on how the machine was configured hopfully the owner has the parmeters hard copy.

    Good luck!

IIRC you can call Simens and they will send the info.We had this same problem on an Arrow last year.

That's what I thought Matt. I've had to enter the parameters on my Hurco BMC20 in the past. The way the Arrow owner described it made it sound like a major project.
    Thanks for the info.
