C Axis Fault Motor Overload Error #27

Hello, I have a Fadal 4020 and everything runs great no errors
I wrote a program using rigidtap and when the program ends it
sends the machine home and then the machine errors out with
C Axis Fault Motor Overload Error #27 press jog to release.
Is there something i am doing wrong?
in the program i am using S450.2 F22.5 this is for a 1/4-20 tap
I appreciate any help thank you.

    From what you said:

-RPM of the spindle may not be right. What kind of inverter do you have? Does the inverter have a display that shows the Hz or RPM? When you run at 500RPM the display of the inverter should show 1000RPM. Or get a tach to check the RPM of the spindle.

-Clock speed of the axis travel may not be right. Check the clock speed and set for what is recommended in the manual.

-The gain in the SETP may not be right.

Hope I was of some help.

Hello, I ran the program without a part and it did not error out.

I ran through 5 times without any errors but i wasn't cut anything
either. I did notice that the rpm is programmed at s450.2 but the speed
shows up in the rpm box as a negitive number is this correct?

Should the correct speed show up under rpm box or am i using
    a diffrent format?

This is the first time i am running rigid tap, I am not sure what its
    suppose to look like.

    thanks for the help

That error code refers to the spindle magnet not being seen within 6 seconds at the completion of the rigidtap cycle in order to re-orient. This may be to a calibration sstting that is on the edge and may need to be touched up.

Hi Neal, Is this something you can help me out with or do i have to have FADAL come out and adjust it for me. I just purchased the machine shop
around 4 months ago and this is the first problem that i have had. I ran another part this morning and what you say makes since. I dont receive the error till after the machine is at the home position which take a few seconds to return home then i get the error. I will send you a PM with my info.
I am new at this forum and i really enjoy reading and learning and appreciate all the help you guys give.
    Thank You,
    Jeff

If it is a calibration issue, you will need a tech to do it as it requires a special thread standard to accomplish.

Hello Everyone, I am just giving a follow-up post letting everyone
know that i had the service tech come out and he had to re-calibrate
the inverter in the back of the machine. Everything is working great.
    thanks jeff
