    Alarm Code 261 Arm Retrac. Malf.

    Hi Folks,
    this is my first post. I have a new person running my Mazak and he used a set screw that was too long for the tool holder to hold his 1 inch mill. The protruding screw evidently made the tool sit in the Toll Changer Arm slanted and it got stuck. I got the tool out but the arm is now not moving. I get an alarm code 261 ATC ARM RETRACT SENSOR MALF. Can anyone help????

    Thanks in advance!!!

    Need To Give Us More Details Of Machine Type and control

    Hi There;

    Depending on machine type and control there are procedures that you can use to correct this problem.
    However , you need to post what type of Machine Model you have and which control you have on it as well.

    Sorry for not giving all the important info on the machine, I'm new at these kinds of forums.
    Our Mazak is a V-414/22 and it has a Mazatrol Plus controller.

    Man it would be great if there was some way to re-home/reset that ATC arm.

    Thanks again in advance!!!!

    Paul;
    Contact me via e-mail @ [email protected]. The procedure is way to long to be posted in here.
    I'm certain I may be able to help you out on your problems.
