    Fanuc 10M Parameter input

    Dear All,
I am facing problem on Kuraki horisontal Mill (Fanuc10), the first time i got alarm Ram Parity Error, and i have initialized.
please somebody help me, how to input parameters by RS232?
i have back up on punched tape but the machine doesn't have tape reader.
can i read tape data on other machine first and save to NC data?

    Thanks for help

also, the PC parameters have to be input manually (cn not be done through the tape reader or serial port). Do you have those written down?

    Nastek,
If you initialized the control then you will have to reenter everything. First thing you have to do is power on into the IPL mode then enter your option parameters in hexadecimal format. You then have to enter your communication parameters so you can communicate via RS232. Now you can download your parameters. Now you have to hand input your counters, timers, keeprelay data. Last you can do your programs.

Here is a thread that explains the most of the details to do the above. Let me know if you have any questions.

next time you need to do a reset and delete,

then input your 900 parameters at once ( dont turn off machine till they are all in)
then set up your rs232 parameters and load the machine
