Who here has the luxury of a presetter??

Assuming the old Fadal control (rather than the Siemens, or..) just bring up the tool offset page, hit option #4, and follow directions, starting at 1.

Bring the tool down and have a gage block or whatever standard you use on the Z Zero, and slowly increment the tool to the block (recommended you start with the tool below the block and step the tool up) till the block barely slides under the tool...and hit Manual. It'll prompt you by loading the next tool to do it again, or be ready to exit out of the function.

To proof the program, use Mass Modify and add an inch, or two, or more to your offsets, dry run the program, then re-do your Mass Modify by subracting the same value and you're ready to run.
