laser stops when doing large bitmap.

When I download a large (5meg plus) photo for photoengraving the machine stops part way through the job and it has to be rebooted. I am running a G Weike LG500, 60 watt with corel and Lasercut 5.3. Anyone had this problem?

Just a thought 'cause I don't have one (LG500) but do you think you would be running out of memory? I know these laser things eat up memory like it's going out of fashion. Contact your dealer and ask what they think.

    LG500 memory issues

I have a LG500 and it requires alot of memory for larger engravings. Try shutting down every no essential service on the controlling computer. I even shut down my network services when I have large files to run.

LaserCut does not seem to like virtual memory conditions either.... (flame2)
That is why I am looking for an alternative controller system so I can run the laser essentially as a 'printer'.
