    MAPPS

How hard is it going to be for me to learn "MAPPS"?

    I know G&M code.

I use MasterCam but the new job I am starting wants me to use MAPPS.

So I was just wondering how hard it is going to be to pick up?

    Thanks, Robert

Mapps is not hard. I find that in order for you to do a program correctly you must really pay attention to the reference positions and origins. Your tool library must be set up correctly for accurate simulations/programs. Other than that, it does have its limitations but the simulation runs off of the G code so if you make a change to the program the simulation will change also. Changing the tool numbers in the programs screws everything up in the sim! If you are good at MasterCam, then Mapps should not be a problem. If you need specific help let me know.
