I am a starter machinist, starting up my machine shop, I have recently bought a couple lathes and milling machines, included in the purchase is a Hurco KMB1 with serial # 8027110, I have no knowledge of or using a cnc machine. Dont know if the machine is working, form what I can see it looks pretty decent, I really would like to fix this machine cause I know it can do a lot of work I am interested in. I need help in some way, guidance through, to get it working. a manual or training guide would greatly be appreciated. can someone give me an advice if to repair the old control panel because it has been taken off from the machine, or at this stage to just convert it to a newer system or to a PC? this hurco has a time clock, with 3000 working hours, I guess its not too bad, any ideas? an advice? let me know

Ya, stay away from it ! If you really plan to retrofit it yourself, then by all means, go for it. You will sink a whole lot of money trying to keep those old controls running.
